We are encouraging all our customers who live in the 24 postcodes across Birmingham, Solihull, and Sandwell where collections are taking place to show they care this Christmas and recycle their real trees. For a small donation, volunteers from St Mary’s Hospice will collect and recycle your Christmas tree – saving you the hassle.
Last year, the scheme’s volunteers collected an incredible 3,700 trees, raising £70,000 for local families with life-limiting illnesses. 100% of your donation helps to provide vital, expert care and support to over 400 local people across Birmingham and Sandwell every day. It currently costs over £9 million a year to run our hospice services, and over 64% of that comes from generous, voluntary donations.
Stuart Mosley, Director, SJ Financial Solutions said: “This is the first year we’ve joined up with Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice Treecycling to help them do their vital work for local people living with a life-limiting illness. I’m delighted that we can support this fantastic scheme, both raising crucial funds but also playing our part in protecting the environment. Well done to all those volunteers who will be out and about in the new year to collect and recycle trees”.
